GLOBALISASI EKONOMI VIETNAM DALAM KERANGKA PEMBANGUNAN BELT AND ROAD INITIATIVE

Nafiisah Rizqillah Maharani, Najamuddin Khairur Rijal

Abstract

This study aims to see how globalization affects the Vietnamese economy, particularly regards to the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). For this reason, the author uses a hyperglobalist approach that focuses on the economic dimension of globalization. The result is that the development of BRI provides benefits for Vietnam, namely optimizing the industry in managing its natural resources, which is known that Vietnam has natural resources that have not been managed optimally. In addition, FDI inflows through BRI are able to create more job opportunities and encourage infrastructure development and domestic economic progress. Furthermore, cooperation within the BRI allows Vietnam to get the positive impact on China's economic growth, both from the sharing of technology, ideas, and investment flows from Beijing.
